+O.K., most of the recent retro results threads have likely been of most interest to the "old geezers" such as DannyBurton, SprintManDave, Pat O'Connor Fan, et al. Here's one not quite 20 years old for the "younger geezers", i.e. MudPacker, Dirtfan, and, of course, myself.

+I had apparently become rather lazy by '93 as I didn't list the number of laps (I assume 8) or time of race. I did jot a comment in my notes that "collectively, these were three of the best heat races I've seen in some time".

+This was a good night at the races for my boy, Greg Staab, which is one of the reasons I chose to bring back this one back, what with his recent most deserving induction into the HARF Hall of Fame.
+I was in attendance at IRP when Greg won a USAC sprint feature.....quite emotional in the circle. I failed to keep records though. Believe it was also shown live on ESPN, Thurs. Nite Thunder maybe?
+Hard Charger Award to Bill Rose. 17th to 5th......not too shabby.
+There was a Jim Kropfield who drove unlimited hydroplanes. I know he won the Governor's Cup driving Miss Budweiser at Madison one season. Also broke his neck once, I believe. Don't know if he was related to Scott Kropfield, the sprint car guy or not. cecil98? smith19? anyone?

There's the show you were talking about at IRP. Staab wins and Vogler keeps the hood on the car with his hand!

By this time Marv, I had been in Indiana for 19 years so I probably was on the pine at THAT. I always enjoy some of the older ones but at this time of year will take anything I can get. Thanks for putting me in the "younger geezer" catagory along with Dirtfan and you. Makes me feel very youthful.

I missed this and many races for a while as I was hitting the books.

I did see Joe Roush racing a TQ in 2009 at a MTQRL show at the Ripley County Fairgrounds in Osgood, IN.
