Finally had time to start this months Sprint Car & Midget magazine, as always I check to see how Jimmy is doing then look at what is going on in Kevin Olson lab then skim thru to see if the Spencer Special made the pages, even in the background we get exited when we see it in print. The pages are full of good reading I look forward to it every month in the mail.
Like always whatever Dave writes I read, this month was a little harder to get thru as he was writting about a good friend that cancer had taken way too soon, everything he said about George is true plus some.
I think about friends that have left us about everyday, I just wish Dave had known them so he could write nice things about them too. Thank you George for the memories and thank you Dave for reminding us how special people are.
I'm sorry I never got to meet George in person. We talked on the phone a number of times after my brother Dwight's passing. With all of George's problems he was always up. The one time I was in Indianapolis George had a treatment that morning so we didn't get a chance to meet. RIP George
