i've bever liked the nickname "young money" for kyle larson, i've always thought it to be condescending/ after coming out of last nites horrendous sprint car crash in one piece, i think houdini might be more apropriate/ thank the powers that be he's o k!

hats off to eldora's staff and to all the drivers and race teams for providing an awesome night of racing for the big crowd on hand/ and hats off to all those who came out to brave the cold, it was most certainly worth it/ awesome racing all nite long!

I say the "Boy Wizard". He has the same birthday as Harry Potter, July 31.

No matter what they call him, what he did in that midget feature last night was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen in that division. Starting on the tail, laying waste to the entire field and checking out the way he did. I thought Ricky Stenhouse in a midget at Eldora was one of the damnedest things I had ever seen. Kyle topped anything I'd ever seen him do, last night. Pure and simple, he's just one of the most complete driving talents we've ever seen in this sport.

And it was a miracle that he got hit that hard by another car, at a place this fast and walked away during the sprint feature.

Rossburg, OH........Kyle Larson of Elk Grove, Calif. won Saturday night's 25-lap USAC Mopar National Midget "4-Crown Nationals" feature at the Eldora Speedway. Starting ninth, he caught Jerry Coons Jr. on lap 16 and led the rest of the way in his Keith Kunz Motorsports Toyota TRD/Bullet to beat Brad Kuhn, Coons, Bobby East and fast qualifier Darren Hagen. Larson's engine appeared to expire as he crossed the finish line.

Tracy Hines of New Castle, Ind. led all 30 laps to win Saturday night's AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car "4-Crown Nationals" feature at the Eldora Speedway in his MP Environmental services DRC/Stanton. Dave Darland finished second ahead of Chris Windom, Chase Stockon and Bryan Clauson. Jon Stanbrough was 13th, leaving him 44 points behind Darland in the new series standings. Kyle Larson, defending winner of the race, suffered a bruised knee and sore neck in a flip during the 30-lap feature but was treated at a local hospital and released.

Rossburg, OH........Bryan Clauson of Noblesville, Ind. led the final 40 laps to win Saturday night's 50-lap "4-Crown Nationals" USAC TRAXXAS Silver Crown race at the Eldora Speedway. He piloted the RW Motorsports/Curb-Agajanian Rotondo Weirich/Curb Records Wallace/Toyota to beat Robert Ballou, Jerry coons Jr., Bobby East and Bud Kaeding. East, the new series point leader, led the first 10 laps. Fast qualifier Kyle Larson was unable to start the race after suffering minor injuries in the Sprint race which preceded the Silver Crown race

A lot of the racing was very good. The midget and Silver Crown car counts were disappointing but, I guess, par for the times. Maybe I'm getting cynical in my old age but, I felt like there was a lot of needless downtime throughout the night (JMO).......I really thought Hoffmann Racing had just gone through another nightmare on the track last night....I'm so thankful Kyle Larson got out of it alive and seems to be doing fine(?)

I can't beleave the drivers have to change fire suits. You can't drive a Toyota midget with a bow tie fire suit. I am just making a statement about last night not complaining . The racing was real good!

Looks like all three divisions had fewer cars on hand than last year's Four Crown. Silver Crown cars being the biggest difference.
