With just about everything that is happening in the sprint car world happening right here in middle Iowa area the USAC Ultimate Challenge took place Tuesday night at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa Iowa.

The 305 sprints ran their a-main 1st and put on a really good show for their inaugural event.
$500 to the winner, a belt and a new driver suit from Hinchman plus some other items.
The 305's was a good choice to under card the USAC show, once again Terry McCarl hits a home run.

Like everyone else in the grandstands you were wondering how or when Kyle Larson would win this event for his second Challenge belt and the $15,000 1st place. I think the whole world now knows that it did not take long as Kyle started 7th and patiently worked his way to the front and the win.

This race had a good balance of youth and experience, Larson winning and veteran Dave Darland staying within striking distance waiting for a mistake that never happen. These two were far and away better on this night than anyone in the field.

Enjoy the USAC Ultimate Challenge.
