Last Saturday night we (by we, I mean me <g>) got collected and got to be the meat in the sandwhich. All three cars unfortunately had to be carted off on a hook. I'm sure if I look in the dictionary under racing I'll find "frustrating" as one of the definitions. <ng>

By the time we were hauled back to the pits, several people came up and asked, "What do you need? How can we help get you back out there?"

I figured we were done as we don't carry very many spare parts, but people started pulling stuff out of their own trailers.

I hesitate to do this, as I am sure I don't have everyone's name (and if I do miss you, please speak up), but a very special thanks to Josh Cunningham and crew, Buddy Lowther, Jake Scott, Warren Tarr and Drew Tarr. At one point I turned to Josh, who was up to his elbows working on the broken pieces, and asked him to stop as he had to get ready for his own Feature. He said they were fine.

We ended up being more broke than spare parts available at the track, but once again I am reminded just how special Sprint Car people are.

Thank you,
Michael

PS For those racing at Paragon, we are going to have to come up with a different plan other than Josh working on my broke car minutes before the feature to try and slow him down...it didn't work this time. ;-)

This is the best one I have heard in a long time.
The Gentrys helped us in a simular situation at Ponderosa Speedway down in Ky. 2010 when we twisted the left rear axle in half inside the birdcage. And they jumped in to help me get it done just so we could load to go home. I love racing and the big family that comes with it.

The way racing should be in my opinion.

Thats been my favorite part of being in the sprint pits at Paragon. Always see people come together like that a few times throughout the night and help each other out. Always a good time i dont know the Tarrs but do know that Jake and Josh are a couple good guys that get a in my book. Good times and glad to see these guys still spreading the passion at the track.
