I think 16 sprints. Just ran two heats. Westerfeld won heat 1. Hupp won heat 2. Soudrette had a good run in heat 1...finished 2nd. Looked very good after getting a bad start.

First things first:

Bikini contest, not a bad looking lady in the group. However Morgan Abel, my favorite, should demand a recount.

Cars, slim field of 16 cars. After the heats we would be down to 15. Brad Stevens, with his car sporting a Johnny Lightning 500 paint scheme, had an engine vibration at the end of his heat and pack the car up for the night.

Feature time: Joss Moffatt took the lead from his pole position but Jason Soudrette motored by him for the point after a couple of laps. Soudrette was starting to put some distance between him and Moffatt until a yellow for a Jon Steed spin. When the green came out there was some contact with the lead cars and by turn two sadly Soudrette ended up spinning and collected Shawn Westerfeld. Damage to both cars were bad enough that both cars went to the pits on a hook. I was really hoping for a Soudrette win since he will be stepping away from driving for a month or so for medical reasons. A Westerfeld victory would have been nice too since it wasn't so long ago he had a medical issue of his own.

When the green came out again it was Moffatt, Hupp and Abel, or a Columbus trifecta, for a while. Then Hupp began to assert himself by grabbing the lead after 12 laps. Hupp would never look back the rest of the way and would end up winning it easily. As the race progressed Moffatt's car became terribly tight and by the last couple of laps dropped way back because his steering was just about gone. Tony Main finished second with Drew Abel coming home third.

Lots of water on the track but it ended up dry but plenty racable. Did I mention there wasn't a bad looking lady in the bikini contest?

I want to start out by sending out a big Thank You to Dave for his help and generosity for our Kid's Night/ Greensburg Schools Anti-Bullying Program Night at Buffalo Wings & Rings coming up soon! I also want to thank my Car Owner, Jeff Sweat, My #1 Fan Kaitlyn Sweat, and my Mom & Dad for all their support, hard work, and sacrifice they make so we can race each weekend!
