Was wanting to know where a Nichols chassis is made? I'm going to look at a lightning Sprint that has a Nichols chassis. Pros/cons?

Bob Nichols from the Seymour/Columbus area built several Tq's and I'm not sure how many mini sprints. Bob passed away a few years ago but built a very good chassis. His tq's have won several championships and have always handed well. Just an all around great guy.

We own a "Beast Farnsley Nichols" car and it ain't for sale. This is the most driver friendly car I have ever owned. Bob was a real racer, and he built most of his stuff himself but it was all quality work and very very racey.

If it is a Nichols chassis It would have to be a 2006 or Older. That would be 1 of the last ones he ever built, He built 2 in 2006 with Kevin Rice, 1 was for his son Robert and the other was for Kevin Rice. Kevin sold his to Dave Dorsett who sold to someone in Kansas, that cas was supposedly destroyed in a big wreck. The other was sold to Drew Dorsetts Grandpa after Robert was killed in a motorcycle crash, Last I heard Dorsetts still had the car.
Very good cars. Mike M. |
