I would like to say hats off to Dave and Crew for the great racing last night. Everybody knows that holding a track in 100 degree heat can be a nightmare but, the track did well and there was racing on both the top and bottom. That was one of the best Late Model finishes I have seen in years. I have high hopes for a great Sprint Week show as well. Thanks for all of your effort

Top three sprints within five car lengths with 2nd and third front to rear wheel.
21 quality sprinters and even JT Stapp got a second in his heat and looked great. LM Feature won on last corner of last lap from third. 22 LMs with a few greats mixed in. Scott James, Insane Dwayne Chamberlain. Johnson, Doss. Prince Mod Battle between National (At least greater midwest) Gilpin and Adam Hamilton. Local defending feature winner from midget week. 28 quality cars! Street Stocks 23 strong and won on last corner of last lap by driver who'd never driven new track but wanted to, to pay respects for Merrill Downey Sprint Feature done 11pm. LM done 1130. Mod done at 12 and Night ended with checker on SS at 1230 and there was easily still a thousand in the stands and quite a backup thats normally reserved for just after the sprint feature in the lot. This all with a hour push back due to heat. Pats on backs all around. ![]() P.S. Elson started deep and finished I think fifth. he was a pitbull just as he was at Bloomington Fri and just kept coming!
