A shame for the race fans, but understandable for everyones safety. One thing for us fans sitting in the stands, but a totally different deal for drivers and safety workers on the track. Let the nagging begin, but there's always next week, pray for that cold front to come thru, bob

Apologize for those who have the rainedout.com text messages. I could not get logged in to get those sent out.

I'll bet by the end of the day you can add 5* to that, making the heat index about 105*. And RAIN?...really? We''ll believe in rain when we see it. You know they didn't want to pull the plug on tonights racing, but a pat on the back for at least doing it early, a big help to the race teams, jmho, bob.

It is a classy move to do this for the drivers and crews #1 and also for the great fans!

Good all around, no sense a promotor taking a money hit by having low car and spectator counts. Its not near as hot here, (Salmon River NY.) maybe 82 degree's.

Fans, drivers & crews definitely have a choice of whether not to attend. Just because a track is open doesn't mean you HAVE to go. Everyone needs to use common sense as they make decisions on what to do during this awful heat wave. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I agree to certain extent but when people work all week to get things ready to go, yes sometimes out in this heat, and look foward to going and then to have it cancelled it kinda stinks

Would I love to be racing at gas city my home away from home tonight YES. Do I respect the call that jiggs and the rest of the crew had to make YES. Gas city always has fans and racers interests in mind from calling it early like today cause of heat or giving the racers money back if it rains out. Could we have raced yes but is suffering in the grandstands or in a suit fun no not at all. So for all the people that want to see some racing today go to Bloomington there still running and get your fix. Cause there no need to be hard on people trying to make the best decision they think is right.
