A gentleman is conducting "A memorial service to celebrate the life of Sonny Ates on June 27th, 2012 @ 10 am. The location for this service will be Salem Speedway where Sonny enjoyed great success and thrilled many sprint car fans throughout the late 1960's. All of Sonny's many friends and fans are welcome to attend, share a story or 2, and spend time together reminiscing. Please share this information with everyone. Thanks, David"
