The 2nd place finisher in the modified feature Jake Griffin was 13 years old.

He came down to the 2H pit after the race and offered his congrats. I was very impressed by how the kid drove on track and acted off the track.

Hey Susan, Dave had worked his way up to 5th using much patience and his skill for reading the lines of his fellow competitors. His ability to point the race car where it needs to go (even on a rubbered-down track) is uncanny. I believe he was still on his way forward, when he was caught up in a tangle in turn 4 with 7 laps remaining. The contact damaged the left rear wheel, which deflated the tire.
The finish (13th) doesn't represent the effort. Dave never complained about the track conditions; he just worked with what he and everyone else had

Probably another name to remember down the line. Remember hearing about a 13 year old kicking bob kinser's butt at Bloomington years ago, now he drives a #24 car on Sundays. Just a question, was the Levi that crashed last night at LPS the 14 year old that has been racing at Bloomington? bob.
