First off, let me say i have nothing to do with this, but just thought i might save alot of race fans alot of searching. I saw last night on Wind Tunnel, Michael Andretti's promotional work to save the Milwaukee Mile race track. The "Mile" is the oldest race track in the world and of late has been in decline in attendance and profitabliity, so the Andretti promotional department stepped in to see what they can do. It sounds like Fridays events will be a carnival type day with an autograph session included and to top it off, the Firestone Indy Lights race (hopefully including our own Bryan Clauson), then Saturday is the big day with the IRL race and big concert concluding the day. Now for my point, Graham Rahal has also stepped up to help in this promotion by offering a special trip package from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to the Mile for a special price, all inclusive. 1 or 2 day packages are available for what i think is a low cost, and like i said at the beginning, i'm not making a $1. for this, just trying to give race fans another option. For more information here is the web site, the rest is up to you, see you at the races, bob
Great post. Hopefully it is a success so that I can get up to this historic place in the near future. + after reading Mr. Smith's comments the Indycar series needs every oval they can get their hands on.
