Southern Hospitality Tour Slated
Natural Bridge and Beckley set for June 8-9 RWT Weekend
Road Warriors Battling for Big Money in 2012

MT. ALTO, WV-Once again the excitement is building for the June 8-9 Southern Hospitality Tour for the Malta Windows AMRA Road Warrior Challenge Modifieds at Beckley Motor Speedway and Natural Bridge Speedway in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. Beckley will open the weekend with a RWT slate on Friday, June 8, then the teams travel to Natural Bridge June 9 for the annual trek and big purse at Natural Bridge where Federated Auto Parts has come aboard with Sprint Cup driver Kenny Schrader. Schrader will race his AMRA modified with the rest of the RWT drivers.

NBS Promoters Larry and Karey Ramsey are ready to go, and have the beautiful facility well-groomed for this exciting event. The Ramsey's and crew are hard at work to have their race track and facility in top notch shape for the 1st RWT appearance in 2012 for the AMRA Modifieds. At Natural Bridge, because of the distance involved, the temporary AMRA license fee will be waived. The RWT entry fee will remain and be the traditional AMRA $25.
Local modified heroes Brett Hamilton and Gary Connor are expected to be there as well as several of the AMRA mod racers from the southern WV contingent and many of this year's top travelers in the expanded RWT tour.
The relative close proximity of Beckley and NBS will give AMRA drivers and local favorites a chance to compete for two high-dollar purses.
Says Director of Racing Operations for AMRA, Scott Wolfe, "This is a big deal for both the AMRA and our two sanctioning speedways. To have Beckley and the fine folks there putting on a race leading up to Natural Bridge is great for the sport. Racing is about teamwork and many fine folks made this weekend happen. This is what AMRA and our speedways are trying to do for our racers. Fans also will be happy with this tour."
"I appreciate our fans, drivers, and the Southern tour contingent, and all others who help make the AMRA successful," announced AMRA President Larry Keefer. " I personally appreciate everyone's involvement to improve the AMRA brand name. To this combined effort and I offer a sincere 'Thank You' to all involved."
Race fans will see the AMRA open wheel modified series again at NBS in 2012. The modified racers appear on three occasions in 2012, with the AMRA Road Warrior Tour, featuring NASCAR driver Kenny Schrader, visiting Natural Bridge Speedway on Saturday night, June 9. The AMRA Road Warrior Tour event will bring a strong contingent of drivers seeking the AMRA Road Warrior Challenge championship. The Modifieds also race May 26 and August 25.
