This was sent to me. I thought some might like to see what's happening. (Note: there are a couple of inaccurate statements about the speedway's past, try to overlook.)

HISTORICAL RACING FACILITY. TO BE AUCTIONED

Edward Smith President and CEO of Laymen Brothers Global announced today that on May 15, 2012 the legendary Angola Motor Speedway will be sold at public Auction. The Auction will be held at the speedway complex at 6 pm.
All bidders must be pre registered. The Angola Motor Speedway is the
leading motor speedway in northern Indiana, northwest Ohio, and southern Michigan. The outstanding facilities has attracted large crowds of thousands of people and some of the Midwest's top drivers. The speedway was built by Legendary driver Dick Poe. Poe had raced on tracks through the Midwest and knew what it took to construct a race friendly facility. More than Three Million Dollars has been invested to make this track a great racing facility. Every year updates were made at the track to make it a modern facility. This 3/8 mile high banked race track has been the home to many close and exciting races. Legendary drivers have drove the track.
Including Ryan Newman, Jeff Gordon, David Stremme, and Sam Hornish Jr. Angola Motor Speedway has developed a host of local heros also. Including Charlie Hanna, Hank Lower, Scott Hantz, Bobby Blount, and Jack Landis. Just to name a few.

After Dick Poe past away his son Greg quickly realized how important this race track is to this area community. The Tri- state area racing community wants this speedway to stay open. That has been Greg Poe's goal. Therefore when he decided to list the track privately. He realized how there should be racing this season. The Auction allows the new buyer to open for this season. The auction will be a "turn Key" sale so the new buyers can hit the road running, allowing it to be the place to be for racing fans this summer.

Because of a change of plans the tract will be sold to the highest bidder, at a very low reserve or minimum price. The new owner can take over at the closing, and start their new season immediately. For details and a free broacure, contact Layman Brothers at 260-235-0097. Or go to the web site
