From FB today
"It's here! Opening race for 2012 - the World of Outlaw Sprints! Mother Nature seems to be cooperating with a partly sunny day ahead. You can still get tickets at the gates starting at 4:00."

The sun is shining and the pits are overflowed with World of Outlaw sprints and UMP Modifieds. The mods are starting to park out back.

Huge crowd with a 2900$ half pot. I have no idea how Sammy held onto the car with a broken rf shock. Throughout the whole corner the axle was dancing up and down side to side. The front wheels were off the ground most of the time. Bacon had a hellava night. He had a great heat, dash, and leading the main until something went wrong in the motor.

Rpracing1......Sammy broke but still got 3rd. You made it sound like he didn't finish. Heck of a drive with a "Bouncin' Betty" for a front end. He did a couple wheelies early in the race that broke the shock. The Outlaws better look out. I got a feeling the old boy is gonna be real tough all year. Glad to see Joey ok and Joey felt Dollansky cut down on him coming out of four causing him to flip. Real nice crowd and the track was great.

Im not a very big Swindell fan but that car looked like it was a handful and his position was well deserved.

Good racin', Great track as usual!

Tom,
Sorry to mislead you. Just hitting the big news. I think that Sammy breaking his right front shock affected the race outcome. However you look at it, fortunately or unfortunately, I think Mr. Personality would have won barring his shock issue. See you at THAT later today.
