Those guys just can't catch a break! I hope luck turns around for them. Both are good guys and can drive the wheels off!

Sucks for these two!!!! Chad and Landon threw everything they had the last few weeks to get the 98 on the track. With no major sponsers they put every dollar they had to get a car together. Just couldnt finish the trip to FL with the tranny going out in Chads truck. I'm sure they will recover and get on the track soon to show the talent that everyone knows they have!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone, It was very disapointing for Chad and I after all the hardwork and excitement leading up to the trip. It was a "last minute" deal to even go and took everything we had and the help of many others to make the trip possible but bad luck just went to far this time. After over heating for the 4th time on around 4:30 am in the Tenn. mountians we decided to pull the thermostat and had to walk through the woods to find creek water to re-fill the radiatior...after 2.5 freezing cold hours and alot of creativity we had it up and running and hit the road only to have the tranny give us the final trip ending problem. Myself, Chad, 2 desiel mechanics and the serive dept. at the local ford dealer were unable to find any problems but there was something preventing us from moving... The options were down to buying a $5k plus tranny and hopefully having it done buy thrusday or counting our loses and heading home.... Got to thank The Cochren's for spotting us at the Pilot in Tenn. and hanging out for hours, Todd Boespflug for driving down to get us and the trailer, and everyone else that offered a hand/ idea. Im now sicker than a dog from our 48 hours of freezing cold truck repairs but we made it home and now can focus on getting the #98 and #24's ready for Spring! Thanks again..and Good luck to everyone that did make it to Ocala!

Landon Simon
