Hello Iow'ers. Does anyone know where I can have a custom hood made for my tq midget? Not many of these cars were made. I can't seem to find a hood that works. Thanks for any and all help

Thanks- Devin Fairchild

Pick a color, or go with a non color, pick a good sheetmetal/ductwork builder, and have one made out of aluminum, lots cheaper, and will stand a lot of abuse. A sheet of prepainted aluminum will cost you about 60 bucks, and it comes in a lot of colors, or go with an unpainted, and pay to have it painted. I made all the body work for the cars I built, using prepainted aluminum, when you're done, just pull off the protective film, and you're ready for numbers and decals, one 4X10 sheet, will do a whole car, so it ain't like it's expensive. If you'll look at a lot of cars, a lot of them are aluminum, and when have you ever been able to straighten fiberglass? Bob!

I believe there are many Phantom chassis tq's in Illinois. as well a few in California and Ind. They still build them and also make there own hoods. Maybe you should try them.
