Who is this?

I have a old pic of the rear engine sprint car that Hank Merit built and am having a hard time figuring out who is driving. I think it was taken at Winchester not for sure about the year. anybody that might know Butch Wilkerson or Leon Thickston might let them know its on here and have them look at it. Thanks.

It is not Butch Wilkerson, I think that is raceway park

I don't think it's Orville Yeadon, either, he bought the rear engine Chevy, that Chuck Buzak built to run Indy with, don't think Orville ever ran it on pavement, awful short steering arm, looks like it could almost roll over center ,and reverse the steering an ya, wouldn't that be interesting! Bob!

my uncle`s, danny and mike bowlen helped build and even ran this car!!! hank and them were craftsman... i think that may be chet johnson in the car @ irp.
