Big change in 2012 for the 1200c.c. mini sprints.: A.M.S.A will now be called, A.M.S.A. Lightn-ing Sprints.

Rules for 2012 season has changed,

The weight for cars on alk will now be 940 with car/driver
The schedule will be posted soon.
Pictures from the Tulsa Shootout will be on web site soon.

Good Meeting Jerry Tague at the Shootout...very glad to see AMSA following suit with the rest of the nation....inching closer to LOSING that MINI word....alot of organizations at Tulsa and this is just 1 step in the right direction for 1000/1200 chain driven midget style cars...hopefully soon we will ALL be known as LIGHTNING SPRINTS (wing-non wing)

I like the idea, and have never liked the term "mini" but wouldn't it have been easier and less confusing to call it the ALSA - American Lightening Sprint Association?
