Stanbrough was in Tate's 21.
I never looked up much at the crowd, but there were quite a few people there, being FunFest and all. I thought the racing was good; track held up a lot better than Sprint Week, and the water truck never tried to tag the tail of any races. |

The crowd was respectable for it being a "new" format that nobody seemed to like. I loved the format personally. Somewhere around 30 cars. Two b-mains. Casey Riggs got caught up in the inexperience of some other guys at the start of his heat race and flipped going into turn 1. But he came back to win his B. Not sure where he ended up in the feature.
The feature was actually VERY good. Stanbrough (in the 21x) and Short went at it the whole race. Short got by him around half way, and Stanbrough came right back and got by him a few laps later. Then Short pulled a slider on Stanbrough in turn 4, Stanbrough made slight contact with the rear bumper of Short and they hustled on. Lapped cars made it pretty interesting towards the end. And I thought on the last corner of the last lap Stanbrough might have had a chance at a slider, but he came up a few car lengths short. Brady is so good at Brownstown. He's worth the price of admission. The track was pretty impressive. A decent little cushion all around, and it held its moisture pretty well. I don't really know if the night was worth $20 admission. Maybe $15. But all in all it was a good race, and good to see some sprint cars in early October. I had a good time. -Colin |

If I had known the Sprints would have run their whole program in one night, I would have definately been there. *$()*+*(%U()#()!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I quit doing fun fest because of the multi day event and having only one evening to go and never seeing a feature.
