I have been trying to sell this car now for awhile. everyone wants to know the year, all that i know is it was right around the time oz stopped making sprint cars, i was old it was the last one made under his name. I found out then from a guy that came to look at it that the guy that was building his cars for him took over his shop and continued building cars with very slight differences, this is the name on the side of the car shuller. the car was built for Jamie Mathews from greenfield, IN. does anyone have any details on year or more about the transition? My dad actually was 2 shops down from where the oz cars were built last weekend and i guess his shop was turned into making ho rods. any details or a buyer would be great, i know the car was only raced 2 times.

Oz sold the shop to Ron McMahn about 87 0r 88,Ron built sprint cars, silver crown cars and even a couple mini sprints.Ron ran his silver crown team out of the same shop.A guy named Phil Schueler worked for Ron. Ron sold his shop to Steve Panarites who still builds hot rods in the same building where Oz started.Phil had a shop near Coatesville or Filmore ,anyway Phil built a few cars that were simialar to Oz cars.Oz cars sorta lost there luster after Lee sold out.Eric Gordon had some success in Oz cars after Lee sold out.Kent Christian worked for Ron and could probably help you out with more info, hope this helps.
