16th annual funfest brownstown speedway

the 16th annual funfest will be held at brownstown speedway in brownstown indiana, on oct 6th-9th. there will be a new format to this years racing action.

THURSDAY OCTOBER 6TH- SIGN IN STARTS 4PM-7PM, HEATS- CRATE LATE MODELS. COMPLETE PROGRAM: T.Q. MIDGETS, 600CC MINI-SPRINTS- PURESTOCKS, HORNETS. HOT LAPS START 7PM. LAWNMOWER DERBY @ 8:30PM, NIGHT CRAWLER KAROKE/ PIZZA PARTY 10PM. PARTY NIGHT IS THUSDAY NIGHT.

FRIDAY OCT. 7TH: SIGN IN NOON- 7PM, COMPLETER RACING PROGRAMS FOR FOLLOWING CLASSES: NON-WING SPRINT CARS $2000 TO WIN. M.M.S.A. MINI-SPRINTS, WE WILL HAVE CONSY AND FEATURE FOR CRATE LATE MODELS. HEAT RACE ONLY FOR MODIFIEDS, STREET STOCK, HORNETS AND PURE STOCKS. MINI-SPRINTS AND NON-WING SPRINT CARS WILL RUN THEIR ENTIRE SHOW BEFORE ANY OTHER OF THE CLASSES RUN THEIR HEATS. Yep. It looks like they took the race of champions off also. I think that was a $1000.00 to win for the sprints.

i heard that terry eaglin sold the funfest name to tim keithly of brownstown speedway.

Champions race would have been good to keep.. All good cars and more money to win.. Enjoyed fun fest bc it was an all weeken thing to go camp, race, and drink all weekend

It was good for the campers and people who like to party,but not everyone does. I applaud the decision to switch to 1 day for Sprints.

the sprints will only run on friday night paying $2000 to win. hopefully this will able more sprint cars to come for the one night so they dont have to be there all weekend. terry is still involved in help with funfest he and keithley are together in this event.

Being the ONLY non wing sprint car to have competed in the last 13 consecutive Funfest's without missing one (even went to the one and only Florida Funfest).......... I will say, THIS MOVE SUCKS.

Funfest is supposed to be just what the name implies..... "FUN". For the teams that are too serious to be there for 3 days and are too serious and forgot how to have fun in racing, then this event was not for you. There are about twenty thousand other events all year aimed at one night, serious racing.

Couldn't one weekend remain for the people who liked to race and have a good time? This is now just another regular old $2,000 to win Friday night Indiana non wing race. There is no reason for non wingers to stick around after Friday, so there is no "FUNFEST" for the non wing cars, it is just another race.

It was really hard to say goodbye to L'burg after 11 straight Funfests there, and now its even tougher to say goodbye to what for 13 years was the weekend I most looked forward to
