Thanks for sharing. Not a day goes by that I don't think about Dwight. I still have an IOW memorial sticker on my truck helping me to remember. When reading posts on the IOW, I remember Dwight being a voice of reason and offering very intelligent posts. He certainly is missed by many here on the board.
Dwight was one of the first people to offer his prayers and inspiration when my grandson Andrew was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He always responded to the updates with a PM and provided a calming effect in the dark days. I always enjoyed seeing him at the races and he always took the time to stop and chat.
It certainly doesn't seem like three years. I hope all is well with you and hope someday to be able to say hello in person. Thanks again for sharing.
Mike
Be nice to people on the way up. You might need them on the way down. Jimmy Durante
Russ, your brother was the first on line friend I made on IOW, I also have a memorial sticker on my van to remind me of him everyday. Like others I thought Dwight was the voice of reason and chief statistician on IOW. I will always miss his freindship and wish I could talk to him often. R. I. P. Dwight!
I have two of those stickers left for myself and every time I see them, I pause for a second and reflect on what an ELITE fan he was. There's only a handful of the really elite fans left. Hopefully, more are coming.... Posted via Mobile Device
Thank you for the reminder Oldtimer!
I miss him too!!
He always made fun of where I live! (Now Mudpacker has taken over that job!)
He was in the process of counting up all Dave Darland's wins.
He has a great view of all the races now!
RIP and Happy Birthday Dwight!
