I heard a forecast on the radio today and it said 95°F with a heat index of 107°F. Everyone be careful out there tomorrow. I'm just hoping my track doesn't cancel. If they do I will go to LPS.
I know one night earlier this season (June 4th I think), I grabbed my phone and checked the local weather. It said it was 98* at the Reelsville weatherbug station. I had to switch from my trusty Sunkist to water, so you know it was hot!
Lay off the soft drinks and beer tonight, and drink plenty of water and everybody should do okay.
I'm looking forward to it. Although it's going to be hot, one thing that works in LPS's favor is that they have that woods to the West of the track. So you end up being in the direct sunlight for a little bit less than at some tracks. Should be a real good car count and a great night of racing at Putnamville.
