Hello IOW Friends,
Many auto racing veteran fans and drivers remember Karl Busson from Ohio. The # 95 USAC sprinter that Karl Busson drove was one of the vintage cars present at "FANFEST" for POWRi/Badger midgets at Belle Clair Speedway, Illinois on 1 & 2 July 2011. I first saw Karl Busson at the Twin 50's USAC sprint car race at Oswego Speedway, New York on 14 July 1968 - Karl finished 7th in the first race and 10th in the 2nd race. ![]() # 95 USAC sprinter driven by Karl Busson Have a good day...see you at the races Rich - Arnold, Missouri |

Really nice pic. Thanks for posting.
Who can ever forget Karl and his ever-present white cowboy hat? Those were the days. |

Rich thanks for posting another great photo and sharing memories of the glory days we witnessed at Oswego. We will miss you this year at the Old Timers Reunion, Fred Gormley was all ready in town on Wed. he will have two of his old cars there on Saturday. Also Norm & Marg Mackereth and Todd and Brenda Gibson were here on Wed. we alll got together with Jimmy Ferlito and some of his family Wed. night. Thru reliving allot of past memories I was remined I had left Todd off of my list of super drivers that went to Indy when Jimmy brought up a bad crash Todd had in an Indy car. Enjoy ISW, hope you get back to Oswego soon to see the many changes the Torresse's are making to breathe new life into the Speedway.
Patti

Patti,
Greetings, how are you and the family doing? I will miss family & friends at Oswego Speedway this weekend for sure. When Todd Gibson & Norm Mackereth get together they provide many interesting racing stories. Is Bentley Warren racing this weekend? I am going to be going to Terre Haute on Wednesday, Brownstown on Thursday, and Bloomington on Friday. Haubstadt on Saturday is a strong possibility. And, I will be at Lucas Oil Raceway for the Silver Crown on the 28th of July. Have a good day...see you at the races Rich |

Rich, no sign of Bentley in town nor have I heard any news of him running.
My family is doing great, thanks for asking. You are so right the stories have kept us laughing for two days, today Mark Letcher and Wayne Landon joined the story telling tales I am sure you know how that went. Have fun in Indiana!!! Patti |
