a bonus HARF night to let you all know about ( + more). This Thursday Night Thunder at IRP (ORP, LOR, etc.) you will receive a $5.00 discount on your ticket price. Just show your current membership card to receive your discount. As a "special" bonus there will be a "fun fest" type set up after you enter the gates, a bounce house and play area for the kids, static displays and car show, memorabilia area, lots of racing stuff for sale at the IRP & USAC trailers, plus alot more. The group setting all this up has been kind enough to give HARF a booth to promote the club, so stop by for newsletters, decals (and we hope a few giveaways). If your membership is close to expiring or you have a friend who wants to sign up, stop by our booth and take care of it right there (plus all new members will receive a special HARF can holder). We hope to help pack the house for some great USAC sprint car racing along with the exciting "Thunder Roadsters". Thursday Night Thunder was great back in the day, let's help bring it back to that level. look for the HARF booth and stop by and say hi to Vicki & I. Please note, if you have a young race fan with you, that's a member, and would like to do the USAC Victory Lane HARF presentation, please let me know, I'll make it happen for 1 lucky young race fan. Hope to see you all there. bob
just a bump and another reminder. Thursday Night Thunder at Raceway Park in beautiful downtown Clermont this evening. A "Funfest" area to visit before the racing begins, then we get down to business with the super fast USAC sprint cars and the cool Thunder Roadsters! Remember to show your HARF card at the box office to save $5.00 and stop by the HARF tent to say hi and to pick up some extra newsletters or Jon Stanbrough Driver of the Year decals. Vicki and I will be there, sweatin' but smilin', cause it's always more fun at the race track. See you all tonight, bob
Rain and there are more huge storms to the west of the track that will be arriving shortly. I was just about to pull into the track when Gunner on Q95 announced it was cancelled. Bummer.
Bummer, I had made it halfway from Terre Haute when my brother called me. It does make me feel a little better knowing more rain is coming; he said the sun was out in Plainfield at the time. And I was ready to blame USAC again, LOL...
