Waynesfield Raceway Park is back in action in a huge way this Saturday night July 2nd, as the “Road to the Hewitt Classic” stops at the 1/3 mile bullring just south of Waynesfield, Ohio.
When the S&H Nerfs Non Wing Sprint Cars hit the track at Waynesfield Raceway Park this Saturday, the A Main winner will join Eldora “Road to the Hewitt” winner Matt Westfall and Gas City “Road to the Hewitt” winner Brent Burdette as guaranteed starters in the 3rd Annual Jack Hewitt Classic on Saturday August 6th at Waynesfield.
Along with the Non Wing Sprints, the Dave’s Reliable Motors Tough Trucks will be in action with a very special event. It will be the JR Butler Memorial for the Trucks as they do battle on the 1/3 mile bullring.
Also in action will be the Post Agri Service UMP Modifieds, Block Thunder Stock Cars, PPC 1000cc Mini Sprints, and JR and Sons Service Center Compacts.
It’s also a very special night for all of us at WRP as we go “Dirt Trackin’ For Kids With Cancer” This is the 3rd Annual Toy Drive for the children down at Nationwide Childrens Hospital. Every fan who donates a new toy for the toy drive will receive a free hot dog or a free pop from the Waynesfield Raceway Park concession stand, and will also be entered into several drawing for prizes from area businesses. This event was started back in 2009 by the family of Ashley Fox, daughter of S&H Nerfs Non Wing Sprint Car Driver Tim Fox. When Ashley was 5 years old, the family found out she had leukemia, which forced the family to spend lots of time at Nationwide Childrens Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. During this time Ashley and her family recognized the need to bring smiles to the faces of all the kids at Nationwide during their struggles with childhood cancer. With that knowledge, “Ashley’s Angels” was created, and the groundwork was laid for the “Dirt Trackin For Kids With Cancer” Toy Drive. Ashley recently was recently diagnosed to be in remission, and we hope you will help all of us celebrate by bringing a new toy this Saturday night.
To top off an already amazing night, Waynesfield Raceway Park celebrates Independence Day with “Red, White, and VROOM!”, a concert featuring Nashville recording artists “Polly Mae”. “Polly Mae” is a country music act consisting of Dale Ann and Jodi Burden, daughters of Waynesfield Raceway Park track prep guru Cub Burden. Their blend of rockin’ country and sweet harmony will have you singin’ along this Saturday at Waynesfield Raceway Park.
