They took Joe away for more test and I sure we will have an update from Joe Soon. Rough ride tonight.
Praying that everything checks out ok for Joe.
Joe just text me that their taking him to Methodist tonight and he has fractures of the t3 & t4 of the back.
He had a wild ride I hope for the best! My injury is T-5 and T-6 this hits close to home for me I hope and Pray they were careful a it didn't hurt his spinal cord I Don't want to see anyone end up like me or worse T-3 and T-4 Spinal injury could effect his arms this is scary I hate seeing this!
After All the races were over I talked to the track workers and asked if they knew how he was after going to the Hospital and they said he had a cat scan and was ok and left the hospital! So seeing this after getting home is confusing to me! I hope the track Employe's are right!
Either way I am Praying hard for You Joe I hope you will be ok!
Typical sprint car injury. Rigid seat provides no give after suspension is torn away. Seems like something could be designed to prevent this. Getting the back jarred sucks as i remember from 07. Thoughts and prayers with Joe.
Since there are no confirmations on Joe's condition, I would like everyone to know that I stopped at the hospital and spoke with Joe on the way home from LPS last night. Joe was in great spirits and ready to start his recovery. He does have a couple fractures in his back and was transported to Methodist as a precaution, to see a neurosurgeon to rule out the chance that he may have to have surgery. I also got the chance to meet his father, WOW.... What a great guy!
