I've asked that question a few times on here and haven't seen much of a response. I hope they get a decent number of cars considering that they are racing 3 classes of midgets. The focus cars ran there a couple times last year and never reached double digits in car count. Montpelier has been burned by scheduling a new series in the past (X2RA Midgets, ICS Late Models, ASCT Sprints) so I hope this group doesn't end up the same way. I know the track just wants to get on the good graces of USAC, but I hate to see another flop, especially with 4 more races with this group scheduled.

Really Guys,

USAC web site go to Midgets, drop down box to D1 takes you to D1 page then click schedules. Once there you can check the results of the races run this year and the drivers names and car counts.

I think the idea was to give the newer or less funded guys a chance to gain seat time not having to make the show running against the National cars and not spend alot of money travelling. USAC has done this for the past couple of years, but now it has a new name and looks like more races.

At least they are trying.....

Its not that easy based on where the 2 races they have had took place. Angel Park is a midget track which has locals who would be racing there with or without the series. The other race was on pavement, and not everybody with a pavement car also has a dirt car. That's why its difficult to predict what kind of car count there may be for these 3 midget classes. Not trying to bash this group for trying, but my loyalty is to the track and I want to see them be rewarded for their efforts to promote an event.
