The Midwest TQ Racing League
presented by Vincennes University opens their busy 2011 Fair Circuit on Thursday night June 23rd at the Rush County Fair in Rushville, Ind. The MTQRL will be competing at five different county fairs and these races will be a big factor in determining the 2011 championship.
In addition to the Rush County Fair the MTQRL three-quarter midgets will race on July 9th at the Shelby County Fair (Shelbyville, Ind.), July 15th at the Jefferson County Fair (Madison, Ind.), July 21st at the Hendricks County Fair (Danville, Ind.) and July 25th at the Marion County Fair (Indianapolis, Ind.).
Four races are already in the books this season and four drivers have visited victory lane. Defending champion Tate Martz of Rushville won the season opener at Shelbyville on May 14th, Greenfield’s CJ Leary won at Twin Cities Raceway Park on May 28th, Lawrenceburg’s Jason Willis won on June 4th at Rushville, and Greensburg’s Ronnie Combs was the most recent winner on June 11th at Shelbyville.

A strong crop of rookie drivers are also anticipated to vie for the Tony Stewart Racing Rookie of the Race honors. Muncie’s Jake Moore, Seymour’s Cody Kiewitt, Elrod’s Corey Eaglin and Kyle McIntosh of Versailles are all rookie drivers who currently reside in the top ten in the season standings.
Practice is scheduled for 5:00 pm, qualifications at 6:00 pm, and racing is set to begin at 7:00 pm with the Jackson Oil & Solvents Duel for Fuel. General admission is $10.00 for adults, children 12 and under are $2.00, and pit passes are $25.00
