Looking at the Winchester entry list, I see that Marc Jessup is not on there. What's up with that? Last year, the guy gets upside down at this race, they fix the car, and he wins the race! He is a great pavement shoe and he deserves a ride. How about putting him in the 51car?

Agree with that Gregg. Great guy, and just won his first USAC race last year, and now I haven't heard of anything for this year. Sad sad world we live in.

The 51 car isn't available just yet. "Someone" is gonna run the first two USAC races in it. After that, who knows?

Hey Guys,

Thank you for the kind words, unfortunately as of now I wont be racing at the Winchester Speedway. I was supposed to drive for the same car owner as I did last year at the track, but learned a few weeks ago I wouldn't have a ride.

Its a huge bummer for sure as I love sprint car racing and the high bank tracks are definitely some of my most favorite places. Thank you guys for your support and I really hope to be racing again soon!

Sam - You know I love you guys and it would definitely be an honor to drive the 51 some day. Please call and leave a message if the opportunity arises. :wink

Lastly - I'm sure many will speculate about me running my own sprint car. All I'll say really is the costs are out of control and its honestly not an option for me at this particular time. If possible I'll do everything I can to make that happen.

Talk to you guys later,

Marc Jessup

I do normally get up pretty early, was having some trouble sleeping and for some reason decided to access the board and seen a post about me! I normally dont post but wanted to clear things up for the people who care. BTW- Good luck this weekend, you guys deserve it. Tell Mike, Brent, and the whole gang I said hey.

Living out here in California, I don't know Marc Jessup, but I have heard of him. All I can say is that he certainly represents himself well and hope that he finds good fortune this year. Impressive young man.

Marc is a terrific racer with special talent for asphalt racing. I first was impressed with him as he drove his own sprint car to a fine 3rd at the Joe James/Pat O'Conner classic at Salem in '04. Hope to see him back on the track soon, certainly in time for the Little 500.:thumb
