Cody Morris, TULSA,OK (5-23-2011) - For the second consecutive season the Lucas Oil American Small Car Series Outlaw, Non Wing, and Restricted divisions will invade the famed Port City Raceway for an exciting double dose of Memorial Holiday Weekend open wheel racing action.

In what promises to be a dazzling event on Port City Raceway's unforgiving and action packed 1/8th mile high banks, a triumverate of Oklahoma talent will seek to defend their early season accomplishments against what is arguably the most competitive and talented group of weekly mini sprint talent in the nation.

Indeed, Port City clay has bred some of the top talents in dirt track racing, and that trend will continue to be showcased with the first of three fast and furious Lucas Oil ASCS2 ventures of the 2011 campaign to Port City Raceway

Lindsay, Oklahoma's Harli White has exploded onto the open wheel scene with a trio of Lucas Oil ASCS2 Outlaw victories in the first 6 events. With a season opening breakthrough at Cowtown Speedway, followed by two I-44 Speedway scores, the sensational young driver brings a 33 point adavantage into the Port City weekend in her quest for a 2011 Lucas Oil ASCS2 Outlaw Championship.

Her competition hardly needs an introduction, but for Sooner state race fans who may have been in open wheel hybernation, Sapulpa, Oklahoma's reigning 2010 Lucas Oil ASCS2 Outlaw Champion and 2011 Tulsa Shootout sweeper of both Outlaw and Non-Wing Outlaw action, Blake Hahn has shaken off White's early season blitz to bring himself within striking distane of familiar territory.

Both White and Hahn look to continue their mini sprint success after smashing debuts into the 360 sprint car ranks. While Harli White debuted with an 8th place showing in OCRS sprint car action near Ada, Oklahoma, Blake Hahn made similar 8th place headway against ASCS Sooner Region competition in Lawton, Oklahoma, before claiming his first top 5 sprint car finish in an ASCS Lone Star outing in Texarkana, Arkansas.

Looking to upset the sensational lead duo, the lightning fast Longview, Texas native Tyson Hall will step into the Port City fray for the first time under the Lucas Oil ASCS2 banner. A two time 2010 Lucas Oil ASCS2 Outlaw winner (both were convincing $1,500 scores at Cowtown Speedway), Hall trails Harli White by 67 markers in the 2011 Lucas Oil ASCS2 Outlaw Championship hunt.

One point behind Hall, Port City Raceway's reigning 2010 Outlaw and A Class Champion Jake Rosario enters with odds in his favor and hope of taking a big step forward in the point standings. Pryor, Oklahoma's Frank Flud enters the holiday weekend double 5th in Outlaw points, 96 markers behind White's leading pace.

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma's Trey Marcham leads the Lucas Oil ASCS2 Non Wing stars into the Port City double. A two time winner in 2011 Non Wing competition, both coming at I-44 Speedway, Marcham leads perennial Non Wing ace and Glenpool, Oklahoma native Matt Ward by a scant 14 points entering Port City action.

A Pauls Valley, Oklahoma native, but currently settled near Port City confines in Tulsa, 2010 Lucas Oil ASCS2 Non Wing runner up Steven Shebester will couple a slight tow with a slight 29 point deficit in the 2011 Lucas Oil ASCS2 Non Wing Championship chase.

Both Harli White and Tyson Hall maintain impressive versatility. To accompany their Lucas Oil ASCS2 Outlaw success, the two top Outlaw talents offer a daunting challenge to the lead trio in Non Wing action. White enters the weekend 43 points off Marcham's leading pace, with Hall currently 5th in the 2011 chase, 94 points behind Marcham.

In Lucas Oil ASCS2 Restricted competition, Coweta, Oklahoma's Chance Morton holds a 39 point margin over fellow two time 2011 feature winner and El Reno, Oklahoma native Kyle Keeler.

After picking up the first win of his young racing career in most recent Lucas Oil ASCS2 action at I-44 Speedway, Atoka, Oklahoma's Austin Shores enters the weekend 44 markers behind Morton.

Mansfield, Texas native Christian Kinnison enters the weekend 87 points off the leading pace with Cyril, Oklahoma native Cord Dodson currently fifth in the 2011 Lucas Oil ASCS2 Restricted Championship chase, 105 points behind Chance Morton's leading pace.

Weld Racing Wheels has partnered with the Lucas Oil American Small Car Series and will issue $40 gift certificates to Lucas Oil ASCS2 Outlaw, Non Wing, and Restricted A feature winners. HOWEVER, winning drivers must be registered Lucas Oil ASCS2 members.

Teams can register for ASCS2 memberships simply by contacting ASCS headquarters or visiting the official Lucas Oil ASCS2 trailer at any ASCS2 event. Registration for ASCS2 memberships will be closed Friday, July 8th, all registrations must be received before that time to be eligible for Lucas Oil ASCS2 2011 contingencies and point fund.

The Lucas Oil ASCS2 Memorial Weekend Special at Port City Raceway gets underway Friday, May 27th before a Saturday, May 28th finale.
