Highly anticipated film followed Swindell family during their epic 1st and 2nd finish at the 2011 Chili Bowl
Charlotte (April 28, 2011) -Its been several months since Kevin Swindell became the first ever back to back winner at the world's most prestigious midget race. What a great time to relive the historical accomplishment. Beginning this week, the hour-long film will be featured as a 3 Wide Life "Special Presentation." It will be broken up into two parts and run during the regular 3 Wide Life nationally syndicated time slot. In addition, multiple networks will air the special in its entirety throughout the summer. To learn more about air times, go to 3widelife.com or check your local listing. The film will also be released and distributed on DVD with extra bonus footage, which you can purchase at the Swindell Motorsports website "When we set out to do this project," said director Parker Williams, "we thought about what the dream scenario would be. We laughed about the idea of Kevin and Sammy battling it out to the last lap with a photo finish. Amazingly, the dream came true and we were there to capture the whole thing on camera." Usually guarded at the track, the Swindell family opened up completely and were committed to having a film crew constantly around. In addition to Kevin and Sammy, Amy (Mom) and Devan (girlfriend) are featured throughout, giving a true insight to how important this race is to their family. "I get the feeling," Williams continued. "they were confident it was going to work out this way." The film covers the entire weeklong event, even traveling to Daytona with Kevin as he gets in the seat to test an ARCA car for Eddie Sharp Racing. No detail was overlooked and the crew made sure to have cameras running at all times. "My car was loaded with cameras," explained Kevin. "It was fun not only being the subject of the film, but getting to actually participate in the production. We caught some priceless stuff on the in-car cameras." For anyone not in attendance, or for the lucky ones that witnessed this first hand, now is the chance to relive the 2011 Chili Bowl, through the eyes of the first ever back to back champion, Kevin Swindell.
