I've acquired a 1/3rd quarter midget that I was told originally came from the Pacific Northwest. It's my understanding that these cars were run during the cool down time for the flathead powered cars. If that's so was this like a local thing or were cars like this popular across the country?

My car is powered by a United States Motor Corporation, Oshkosh, WI ~~ "Marine" Model AM-1 single cylinder, air cooled engine. The body is sheet metal and has been pieced together by welding, has a clutch of sorts ~~ push on a pedal to and that takes up the slack on the rea axle drive pulley and a hand brake that is another belt to the axle.

Any information will be appreciated.
Mike
