BOSS Grand Opener 5 weeks away!

With the opening event just around the corner, the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series continues to come together. The grand opener for the season is scheduled for Saturday, May 28th and Sunday, May 29th at the newly reconfigured 3/8 mile dirt oval at West Virginia Motor Speedway in Mineral Wells, West Virginia. The BOSS series will be joining the World of Outlaws late model series for the highly anticipated 7th annual “Racefest” weekend. The BOSS drivers will be racing for $2,000 to win and $300 to start in complete programs both nights. Two day pit passes will be $65. More Racefest weekend info will be posted soon along with a complete payout.

In other news, the series has signed its first three sponsors who will be contributing toward the drivers in the series. French Grimes Race Systems, a fuel injection and ignition specialist, has contributed prizes toward the year end points fund. More information is available on their services at www.frenchgrimes.com. OTR Filters has also come on board for 2011 with a contingency program for drivers in the series. OTR Filters are available from Kears Speed Shop and from Fisher Engines. Drivers running OTR filters are eligible for cash back while running with BOSS. More information on the filters can be found at www.otrfilters.com. Also joining for 2011 is 2Graph1c Distributions, one of the nation’s premiere manufacturer of sports trading cards, who is now turning their attention to the non wing sprint cars. Three more races have been tentatively arranged for 2011, bringing the total to 7 shows. The dates and tracks will be announced as soon as signed contracts are in place. Watch for details on the added events, as well as more sponsors and driver profiles coming very soon.
