Major purse reduction for the nonwinged sprints. $700 to win, $230 for 5th, $180 for 10th and $120 to start. They do offer $100 tow if you don't make the show.
Got to think this will have a major impact on the car count as I can't see guys traveling to far for that pay. Its a shame but I guess the promoter cant continue to operate at a loss and had to do something. Looks like some back gate promoting with 6 classes. |

I noticed that too, the very low Sprint payout but figured I'd leave it to those interested to debate and decide. The night I went last year the show was good but thee wasn't much of a fan turnout.

For me the additional classes don't excite me. I don't really want to see those classes because the program will be drawn out, which make me worry about the lateness of the program. THe new divisions will likely bring 4-6 heats along with the normal 9-11 heats.
FRom the business side I understand. THe stands were never full. THe three other classes, compacts, trucks, mini-sprints, usually brought 2 heats each. If they don't do something the track will close. For me that is bad. It is by far the closest non-winged track for me. As for the sprint car counts, I think they will still be ok. I think the ohio guys will still come out. THe Indiana guys might not. not sure about the few michigan guys. I am suprised that there are no 360 races. Of course, they never could get very many. I think the long drive from Lima was tough on most of those 360 guys. Oh well...come on spring.
