Memory serves me right Bud Kaeding was shorted like $30,000 when he won his 1st Silver Crown championship, so this wouldn't be a surprise. Now remember this was the old USAC that did this! Just more BS that Kevin has to sort thru.

:eek::eek: WoW! What's up with that? How could there be confusion about it? They wouldn't just have a verbal agreement when it comes to that kind of money would they? I would think it would be on paper somewhere wouldn't it?

IMO, USAC has taken quite a few steps in the right direction recently. A quick resolution of this situation would be another one.

The last group to have unpaid purses from a previous season went out of business.

CCWS anyone?

I hope this isn't the case that USAC doesn't have the money to pay like CCWS did all last year but it makes you wonder.

I spoke with a friend at the Copper on Dirt, and asked why another mutual friend wasn't racing at Manzy. I was informed that they owed him about the same amount as what Bud was shorted, and he's thru with them.

:headbangcan anyone tell what USAC has done for west coast racing.except require useless radios. and expensive HANS devises (should have been left up to the driver) then take the $$ and run.

Man, that's a bad deal. I can understand both sides, ESPECIALLY Jones. Miller is kind of tied just coming on the scene though, can't pay what you don't have. Sure hope the deal out there doesn't get really ugly. Not good. :thumbsdown:
