I would have to say this is a lateral move if any. I really hope for Cole Whitt's sake that Red Bull can win some more races. As for even bothering to call it Petty, is just trying to fool corporate sponsors. I'm 33 and have only seen glimpses of greatness from anything Petty related. Sure 200 wins and 7 championships is great, it ended 26 years ago...

This story is funny to me. Petty's equipment sucks....has since Evernham got out of the deal. Kahne points out the obvious and gets fired over it. It's best for him to move on anyway...

And redbull had a bad year because they had their top driver have an unexpected illness....vickers will be back! The team will make a comeback. No team has ever had a rare condition like that. Can't wait til next year when Vickers returns!

Week after week that Petty car Kahne was in would have wierd mechanical issues taking him out of the race. Evidently this week, after showing a lot of patience in my opinion, Kasey just lost it and got fed up.
Red Bull for five races, then all of 2011, then the Hendrick deal comes together in '12... Kahne's best days are definitely ahead of him

After this past week-end I am sure that Kasey didn't shed any tears when RPM dismissed him.
