Fired/Released call it what you want but Kasey is out at Petty, Now!

Eric Almirola takes over the #9 at Martinsville.

Maybe Kasey will land in something fast now!

I would have to say this is a lateral move if any. I really hope for Cole Whitt's sake that Red Bull can win some more races. As for even bothering to call it Petty, is just trying to fool corporate sponsors. I'm 33 and have only seen glimpses of greatness from anything Petty related. Sure 200 wins and 7 championships is great, it ended 26 years ago...

This story is funny to me. Petty's equipment sucks....has since Evernham got out of the deal. Kahne points out the obvious and gets fired over it. It's best for him to move on anyway...

Not to contradict what u say but he won one for Richard this year and what was Richard thinking hell thats the best PMS has looked for years.
JMO And I don't like Fords, I hate seeing a ford pulling a chevy to the track, I guess I need the mind set that it's a limo ride for the Chevy and the ford is just the chauffer. JMO again.

And redbull had a bad year because they had their top driver have an unexpected illness....vickers will be back! The team will make a comeback. No team has ever had a rare condition like that. Can't wait til next year when Vickers returns!

PMS is what my wife has. RPM is Richard Petty Motorsports.

This is no big deal to Kasey. He will bounce back from this.

According to the story on NASCAR.com, Kasey has not won this year for RPM.

Week after week that Petty car Kahne was in would have wierd mechanical issues taking him out of the race. Evidently this week, after showing a lot of patience in my opinion, Kasey just lost it and got fed up.

Red Bull for five races, then all of 2011, then the Hendrick deal comes together in '12... Kahne's best days are definitely ahead of him

Correct, the last time anyone won in one of those cars was Kahne at Charlotte and Pocono in 2009.

Sorta unrelated, but my favorite thing about Google is autofill as in when you start typing Elliott Sadler, it adds "crash". Nascar is so filled up with marginal teams and racers, and so much political stuff. Be careful of what you wish for with this new USAC-Indycar alliance.

After this past week-end I am sure that Kasey didn't shed any tears when RPM dismissed him.
