I'm going to build a model Dave Darland's 1999 USAC Sprint Championship car. That Hoffman Auto Racing Kroger #69. I've found a few (4) pictures of this car online. What I'm looking to know is; Was there a silver pin stripe separating the blue stripe from the red? Some pics it looks silver, some just look like white. Anyone "in the know" that could help it would be greatly appreciated. This car is being built strictly for my own personal collection of Darland 1/24 plastic model Sprint Cars, which is up to 6, and should grow to at LEAST 10 by spring. TIA!!

Joe,
Rob can probably answer that. Are you planning on building any of the Kurtis midgets that Revell is releasing in the next couple months? Posted via Mobile Device |

New midgets are all new tools. www.revell.com should have something. if not there are several model car message boards that should have the info. Im sure they'll be a couple midgets end up in my stash.
here's 2 links to some info I just found. http://cs.scaleautomag.com/scacs/forums/t/95115.aspx http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/i...howtopic=35310

Somewhat OT but I ran across these links that you might find to be of interest.
http://jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php2?groupid=105 http://mb2501.proboards.com/index.cgi The first is the Jalopy Journal model car group. The second is a board for circle track modelers. |

Joe,
There was no silver between the blue and red...it was white. Make sure you post some pics of the car when you are finished. Tim Wolffrum aka Cowboy |
