UMRA Season Ends at Kokomo on Friday

The 50th anniversary season of the Dutch Mill Buffet UMRA TQ Midgets comes to a close on Friday night at the Kokomo Speedway as a part of the “Kokomo Klash.” It will be the second appearance of the season for the UMRA at Kokomo with Scott Petry beating Terry Goff to the finish line on May 23rd. Terry Goff goes into the race on Friday night already knowing that he has won his fifteenth UMRA championship but will be going for his eighth win of the 2010 season which would equal his win total from a year ago. All of the drivers will be eager to end the season on a high note and take the final victory of a very special season for the UMRA.
As they have been all season long, the drivers will be going after some contingency awards at Kokomo on Friday night. There will be $50 on the line from the “Tony Stewart Rookie Challenge” that will go to the highest finishing rookie. Five gallons of fuel will go to the driver who advances the most positions in the feature event as the G&G Oil “Hard Charger of the Race.”
The 2010 UMRA season is set to go out with a bang on Friday night with some exciting racing action that you will want to be a part of. Gates open at three, practice is at 5:30, and racing is scheduled to begin at seven.
