Jackslash Leaves the Corn and Heads to The Western World Championships

Kevin Montgomery, TUCSON, Ariz. (October 8th, 2010) – Media guru and open wheel racing super fan Sean Buckley and the Jackslash crew will journey out of the corn fields of Indiana and head to the metropolis of Tucson, Arizona for the 43rd running of the KRONIK Energy Western World Championships.

"Last year, a lot of the racers and fans had mixed emotions about the Western moving to USA Raceway in Tucson after Manzy was shut down. After walking into the pits on the opening night last year, there was nearly a 150 sprinters (between the wings and wingless) and virtually every great sprint car driver in the country was there. The ASCS Series is a good series with amazing racers and they put on a great show all 3 nights. The track was in great shape with two and three grooves. I am really looking forward to seeing some great racing!"

Jackslash will be on hand to rock the microphone as the official Western World announcer offering his legendary hard core media style and his astounding love for open wheel racing. Look for the new Jackslash media production, Follow the Corn to be on sale soon.

Brady Bacon joined Sammy Swindell as they topped more than 130 drivers in 2009 as they became Champions of the Western World’s 42nd edition. Bacon, one of 12 to compete in both Wing and Wingless competition, picked up $5000 by winning the Non Wing portion and joined Sammy Swindell as he collected the $15,000 check and etched his name onto the winners list for a third time by winning the ASCS National Western World Championship.

As we approach the fall and most of the country succumbs to the cold and snow, racing action will again heat up with the much anticipated 43rd running of the Western World Championships. Close to one hundred and fifty top Sprint Car teams from around the country are expected to migrate to warmer climates for their final chance at a big payday and another opportunity to add their name to prestigious list of winners.

Both the winged and wingless forces will tackle USA Raceway's 3/8-mile clay oval for three nights on November 18th, 19th and 20th, with more than $100,000 in "A" Feature money alone distributed over the course of the blockbuster event. A $15,000 share awaits the winner of the Lucas Oil ASCS Western World Champion, while the ASCS Canyon Region conqueror will pocket $5,000.
