Seems that this past Saturday night at a local Houston race track, a couple of folks decided to fine out what kind of speed a 2000 BMW (don't recall the model) would do. The owner/driver of the Bimmer races from time to time and the passenger is a seasoned modified driver. Reports of straightaway speeds well in excess of 100 were reported. Things were going well until it was decided to see what would happen when the traction control/ride stability was turned off. No one was physically hurt very badly, but one BMW is now so much scrap metal. . . .
Thats sounding like some of the Bench Racin' Stories from back in the day...That I heard in a Circle of 'Known' ASCS Racer's/Pit Crews at Canyon on Sat around our Two Beer Coolers .... WELL after nites Comp. had ended, and lites had been turned off!!...I started to be (concerned) when 'Magic Man' n' M.Meyer made it known to all...that there indeed was a "RENTAL CAR" present on the grounds!!... in this circle of Racin' BS go'n on!!...all of a sudden...I felt like I should slip out of site fast!!...My Rental car was returned in good shape today!!...but wana say thanks to all who shared their torment on Authorities back in the day around Phx. n' across the country!!....pretty sure all made it home safely??.....How bout it Mickey??!!...Talked ta Mike Mon.!!.....Canyon Results...http://www.ASCSRacing.com/racenotes....=58714&yr=2010

Not my picture. I was either home or heading there when this happened. The owner of the car was the driver. No collision (not that the claim would be easy) insurance. . . .
