Heading to Eldora for the USAC races sat.with cautious optimism.I'm expecting the track prep crew to be on top of their game.Guaranteed the WoO race will pound down the surface. This being known, if they provide a nasty track for saturday, this may be the last 4 CROWN for me.I remember in the years gone by, Earl was saddled on the grader right after the friday night show.Hoping (or maybe expecting) the best effort possible. thanks, ron c.

I am with you. After the mess in April, if the track is junk again for USAC, I am done with them.

I have been going to eldora for 15 years and everytime I have been it has been a fast dust bowl track. I wasnt there for the USAC fiasco but did see footage of it on you tube and i agree it was a mess. I went to the kings royal and the track was fast but dusty like in years past. Expect it to be on the wall racing with dust flying in the air. I wish there was a way to have eldora dust free and fast like at Knoxville.

I have found that if you sit in turn 1 the dust doesnt fly up nearly as bad as in turn 4.. the action usually happens in turn 4 though.... but you will have a lap full of dust in 4

Sit with the wind behind you and you should be OK.

My advice would be to the pay the extra $2 a seat for the reserved seats under the main stands, Sections BB (north end) to K (south end). I pretty much always sit in this stand and hardly ever have been hit with any dust.

I've also been back since the race postponed in April and the track was fine. You can always check out the videos on Eldora's website. They have highlights from pretty much all of the races they run.

Forgot to add that. That's what I did in April and left there without getting hit with a speck all night.

The place has seating from turn 3, all the way to turn 1. And there are way more seats than the numbers this race usually draws. So you can usually get to a place that isn't any dustier than most other tracks, if you're willing to move, if the wind starts blowing towards you. I don't usually pick where I'm going to sit until I get there and see which way the flags are blowing.

That track will resemble a pavement joint once the WoO are finished with it.
