Perris Auto Speedway
18700 Lake Perris Drive Perris, CA 92571 (951) 940-0134 perrisautospeedway.com For Further Information contact Scott Daloisio (909) 226-7768 or racesatthepas@aol.com For Immediate Release NATION’S 2010 WINNINGEST DRIVER AND CAR HEADED FOR THE BUDWEISER OVAL NATIONALS! (SEPTEMBER 15, 2010, PERRIS, CA) Jon Stanbrough, the winningest traditional Sprint Car in the nation in 2010, and the famous Foxco #53, the winningest traditional Sprint Car in the nation, are headed to Perris, California for the 15th Annual Budweiser Oval Nationals at Perris Auto Speedway on November 4th, 5th and 6th. For Stanbrough, who will turn 43 in October, the Oval Nationals is a regular part of his fall racing schedule. However, the famous Foxco #53 will be making its maiden voyage on the famous Riverside County clay oval. Thus far in 2010 Stanbrough, who lives in Avon, Indiana, has won a total of 19 main events. All but one of those victories came in the Foxco #53. Among his 19 victories are five in the Amsoil USAC National Sprint Car series including a sweep last weekend at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Indiana and The Action Track in Terre Haute, Indiana. In addition to his main event wins, Stanbrough also captured the 2010 Indiana Sprint Week title (his second) and 2010 King of Indiana Sprint Car Series championship (his third). Stanbrough has been in all but two Oval Nationals main events since 2003. In 2009 he dazzled everyone when he out qualified the field on the two preliminary nights. After starting sixth in the Saturday A main last year, Stanbrough was charging to the front when he broke and ended up a disappointing 24th. One week later, he scored a convincing win by leading all 40 laps to capture the 30th Pacific Coast Nationals at the famous Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, California. Foxco’s Brad Fox is looking forward to the team’s first trip to the Oval Nationals to race. “We came out in 1997 to watch when we were racing the Silver Crown Car in Sacramento,” he said by telephone on Wednesday. “We are looking forward to coming out there to race this year.” Perris Auto Speedway promoter Don Kazarian was glad to hear that the Foxco car was coming out west for this year’s race. “The Foxco car is one of the most famous cars in the country and for years the fans have hoped to see it in action at the Oval Nationals,” he said with a grin. “This year they get to see it challenge the best cars in the country for three straight nights. This is great news.” Tom Malloy’s Trench Shoring, Jarvis Engineering and Foxco Racing Engines will sponsor the Stanbrough/Foxco combo for its foray into this years Budweiser Oval Nationals. The Budweiser Oval Nationals is America’s premiere and toughest traditional Sprint Car race. All drivers have to race all three nights as they seek the prestigious title of Budweiser Oval Nationals champion and the $12,500.00 first place paycheck that goes with it. It is a full points paying event for both the Amsoil USAC/CRA and USAC National Sprint Cars. The final two days of the three-day racing fest will also include the California Lightning Sprint Cars. Advance tickets for the 15th Annual Budweiser Oval Nationals are on sale now. Isn't it nice to see promotion and highlighting a driver to entice a fan to buy a ticket. Great work by Mr. Daloisio.

Actually Jon has been out there several times but not in the Foxco 53, Scott is actually promoting the car in a way. Either way it is good stuff and glad to see that the west coast fans will get to see what we get to watch almost every week.

A few year's ago he gave one of the Massey car's from AZ. one hell of ride and came up a little short when Bud Keading came from nowhere flat footed up on the cushion |

After what I have seen the last two weekends, West Coast fans should be excited about both Jon and the Foxco 53 and Blake Fitzpatrick coming out. If I had any doubt about making the 2000+ mile trip, the fact that they are coming would convince me to come. We have heard on numerous occasions about young gassers coming to the Midwest from California. Now Blake is reversing the direction. I think all of you out there who haven't seen him will be happy he is coming. As for Team Foxco, I am just glad to be around for this period in sprint car history. I would really encourage fans to come see them so you can say, years from now, that you actually saw them run in person.
Am I excited? You bet. Can't wait!
