Looking for Tri-City/Gold Crown Nat's info

My dad, my uncle & I are thinking about going to the Gold Crown Nationals at Tri-City Speedway at the end of September. I was wondering if anyone had any info about the race track and the area. How was the car count last year? Anything cool to do during the day? Gotta like a program that includes only midgets & sprints for the weekend. Thanks.

Last year they cancelled it 2 days before the show due to heavy rains in the focast kinda bs but they did make the right call it poured all weekend

360 Wing Sprints – Unsanctioned (ASCS/WOW Car Tech Rules)

Wednesday, Sept 29th – Open Practice
Thursday, Sept 30th – (Full Program 2 Classes) Midgets/410 Non-Wing Sprints
Friday, Oct 1st – (Full Program 2 Classes) Midgets/410 Non-Wing Sprints
Saturday, Oct 2nd – (Full Program 2 Classes) Midgets/360 Winged Sprints

Wednesday, Sept 29th
Open Practice
6:00 – 9:00

Thursday, Sept 30th
Midgets - $1500 to Win
410 Non-Wing Sprints - $2,000 to Win (Unsanctioned)

Friday, October 1st

Have not spent the time to determine how close everhthing is to the track or hotel that I am staying at. However, a tour of the Bud plant and a visit to the arches are high on my list of things to do.

Might even try to find an afternoon ballet.
