Sunday was hands down the best non-wing race I have seen this year.
I actually have to admit tonights 2nd wing qualifying night at the Nationals was great as well. It was the best wing race I have seen in years. Actual multiple passes and 3 wide racing. The track prep is incredible. Even with this outrageus heat it was racy all night. No goofy interuptions to play with the track either. It was solid. Maybe that is what it takes to make a good wing show, they did a great prep job. I am looking forward to Saturday night. Congrats to Skip Jackson he has been at it a long time. Congrats to Sammy on the win. |

You are correct... Knoxville is one of the top tracks and they have it figured out. Eldora needs to take a few notes from these guys...Knoxville is top shelf

That "real" sprint car race paid what, a couple of thousand to win. Like them or not, the wings have the biggest races of the year, more sponsors, and more tv time. A sprint car is a sprint car is a sprint car. Don't care if it has a wing or no wing. Great world we live in, you can run this weekend with the wing for 50,000 to win. Take the wing off and run somewhere else next weekend for 10,000.

I believe they are paying $150,000/win at the Nationals this weekend, not $50,000. Tom
