MILLSTADT, Ill. (June 28, 2010) – The POWRi National Midget Series will pay tribute to the late wife of one of Midget racing’s longtime chassis builders with the Dana Godfrey Memorial race on Friday August 20th at Macon Speedway. John Godfrey has been active in POWRi since its inception and is one of POWRi’s strongest supporters and partners. The POWRi 600cc Outlaw Micros will also join the evening’s card.



POWRi and Spike Chassis are currently selling lap sponsorships at $100 each, with a goal of $3000. A third of the money raised will go to the feature winner. The remaining money will be spread throughout the field. Donations from interested parties who want to put money toward the purse but not sponsor a lap will also be accepted. Those interested in sponsoring a lap or donating to the purse can do so by phone, email, or online.
