No. Only the winners of the qualifiers get the automatic berth. Those drivers must still try to race their way in to the A Main via heat races. If for some reason they do not make the transfer, then they will start from the rear of the field.

Ballou and Westfall are locked in, and if someone else wins tonight at Fremont, then that driver will also be locked in.

Knoxville runs on Sunday. I have spoken with quite a few drivers that plan to run the Hewitt Classic on Saturday and drive overnight to Iowa. Not sure what Ballou's plans are, but the 10 hour drive still gets them to Knoxville in plenty of time for the USAC Non-Wing Nationals.
