I would like to personally welcome all of you out of staters, and out of the country folk to Brownstown Speedway next Thursday night for our leg of Indiana Sprint Week. I know for a fact that our promoter is a nervous wreck thinking he might not get a good crowd, BUT ive assured him that the only thing that he needs to know is that "its Sprint Week, stop worrying" With that in mind, here is some helpful information for you travelers.
Brownstown, Indiana is located on Highway 50 in the heart of Southern Indiana, about 1/2 way between Indianapolis, IN(north) and Louisville, KY(south) and about 1/2 way between Vincennes IN(west) and Cincinnati OH(east).
From Indianapolis IN, you can take I-65 south to the Hwy 50 exit at Seymour Indiana. Then take Hwy 50 west to Brownstown. Once in Brownstown take State Hwy 250 to the Jackson County Fairgrounds (about 1 mile outside of town).
From Louisville KY, you can take I-65 north to the State Hwy 250 exit at Uniontown IN, and follow State Hwy 250 to the Jackson County Fairgrounds (if it has been abnormally wet, State Hwy 250 just past Uniontown could be closed because of flooding, and you might want to ask before proceeding). You can continue on I-65 to Seymour IN, and then take Hwy 50 west to Brownstown. Once in Brownstown take State Hwy 250 to the Jackson County Fairgrounds (about 1 mile outside of town).
Highway 50 runs across all of southern Indiana from Vincennes, IN(west) to Cincinnati, OH(east).
All area motels are in Seymour IN, less than 15 miles from track.
