You would be much better off to race on Fridays or even better Sundays...Being from Ohio I would love for another race track to offer non-wing racing, but waynesfield already has a decent saturday field and instead of splitting up that field work together! There are 4-5 race track on any Sat. running non wing, 2 on Fridays, and 1 on Sundays

As for purse...pay the whole field..sprintcars should get a min. of 200 to start with 100 tow money! It really doesnt matter what you pay to win its spots 2-20 that will get you a weekly car count! make it worth racing your A$$ off from last to 10th for more than the $25 diff. you get at gascity!!!

Saturday nights in Southern OH would be tough to get car support. You have Waynesfield running nonwinged on most Saturdays and weekly at Lawrenceburg. Look at L-burg now, they pay the best weekly purse in IN and struggle to get more than 20-25 cars each week. JMO

Geography has a lot to do with Lawrenceburg only having 20-25 cars a week. Indianapolis and the surrounding area is where a very large number of sprint car teams are based. The farther you get from indy, the harder it is to draw non-wing sprint car support. Waynesfield made it work in the beginning by pulling in cars that run wings on friday nights at other tracks. A lot of them were 360's and 305's. I would imagine 35 Raceway could do it with support from cars that race wings at KC or Saturday night regulars from Lawrenceburg. They would need to change nights though to accomodate those cars. The more places these cars have to race without conflict, the more of them there will be. As far as purse goes most of your low budget teams that you would attract in the beginning would be satisfied with $1000 to win, $100 to start. Start small and build up from there as your support grows. Good track conditions will bring in as many cars as the purse.

Lawrenceburg's car count is a direct result of the track going from a 1/4 mile to closer to a 1/2 mile. They use to pull in 30+ cars a night when it was non wing on a 1/4 mile.

It would be tough to get the ball rolling on a Saturday night deal. You would have to be patient and deal with some low car counts starting out. But when guys realized that tires and motors last a lot longer and it is easier to field a competitive car, they may switch over from KC.

Personally, I would be happy to see what Waynesfield did years ago. I think it was only like $600 to win and $100 to start. But if you could do $800 to win and $200 to start it sure would be nice.

The first person who says $800 to win is not enough, ask them the last time they won $800 at KC Raceway? If you aren't in a white 4 or a black Jarrell car, you are 4th or worse from the start.

For once, lets quit worrying about what it PAYS to win and lets do the smart thing and and look at what it COSTS to race. You get a healthier bottom line limiting your costs instead of bitchin about more money. A small track non wing is a good start.

I'd have a car there for sure, maybe 2.
